12 - Tudor Oak
Overview:
A newly built oak frame house in a tudor style, Audio Images were involved from initial build to the current maintainence of this project.
Brief:
Originally contacted by a local Electrical Contractor with a view to us supplying and comissioning a Lutron Homeworks Lighting system which they would install.
On our initial meeting with the client, it became clear that a complete multiroom system and home control was required.
Design:
We worked closely with the Electrical contractors and client to arrive at a comprehensive, but not too extravagant lighting design.
The client's requirements for a Cinema, Music room, and other televisions througout the home to be easily controlled, but extremely flexible in their capabilities were paramount.
We were able to subtly alter the room plan to provide us with a 'technical room' which housed the heart of the systems.
Lighting panels were built into the walls, and two floor to ceiling 19" racks housed the Sky boxes, CD server, amplifiers and control systems.
Installation:
We carried out all the first fix, final installation and comissioning of the distributed audio and video system, and liased with the main Electrical Contractors on the Lutron installation and its interfacing to the AMX control systems.
Growth:
As always with these projects we endevour to make the clients fully aware of all the possabilities before the walls have been plastered and it's too late!
As the first fix progressed the project grew with the installation of a comprehensive cabled and wireless network using several wi-fi access oints to give good coverage througout the home, an integrated telephone system with access to the gate entry system.
CCTV cameras can be brought up onto any television in the house.
After Sales:
We have in place a simple service contract, so that on six monthly visits we can ensure the system is always working to its maximum potential, and that all the systems firmware is current and running optimally.
Simple changes requested by the client for lighting scenes can be undertaken remotely from our offices over the remote VPN system.
